Faith, Spirituality & Social Change Conference IV
in collaboration with
St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation & Peace
A conference bringing together people whose action for reconciliation and social change is informed by their faith with organisations working with faith communities for reconciliation and social change, and academics exploring reconciliation, religion and social change issues.
This conference invites discussion about the dynamic dimensions of reconciliation and social change and seeks to explore both faith-based and faith-free perspectives. Opening the debate to include academic and grass-roots voices will allow for reflection into, and broader conversations about, the current state and future direction of reconciliation for social change and the role that religion might play.
We invite proposals for posters, 20 minute papers or 60 minute workshops in the context of reconciliation which broadly address any of the following themes:-
Proposals in the form of a title, a short abstract (300 words max.) and a brief biographical statement including affiliation should be sent by Friday 29th June 2012 to: christina.welch@winchester.ac.uk
It is expected that a selection of papers from the conference will be published in the Journal for Faith, Spirituality & Social Change.
Speakers, papers and a provisional programme will be posted on the conference web site as soon as they become available.
The F Word Project will be on display during the conference.
