JFSSC: Submission Guidelines
Call for Articles: The Art of Change
We invite articles
for Issue 4 of The Journal for Faith, Spirituality and Social Change
exploring the relationship between politics and faith, spirituality and
social change. The editors are pleased to respond to an abstract or outline
of any proposed article.
Contributions should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words
with Harvard referencing and a 100 word abstract. The article itself must
be anonymous for the purposes of peer reviewing, but please include a
separate biographical statement of no more than 50 words with the title
of the paper, the authors institutional affiliation (if any) and an e-mail
address. Articles should be sent in Microsoft Word format with any images
attached in JPEG format. Please read our guidelines
for contributors before you start, as this will help ensure a speedy
and successful submission. Articles will usually be subject to revision
in the light of peer review advice before publication.
Shorter articles for Reflections are especially
welcome from non-academic practitioners. Reflections provides
a forum for more exploratory material, which may be an interim report
discussing an on-going project, creative work or a controversial article
to provoke debate.
We are always happy to receive articles or proposals on
other areas of research that we can consider for future issues.
Your contributions are the life-blood of The Journal
and we encourage quality submissions from both scholars and practitioners.

Guidelines for Authors
Following these simple guidelines will help ensure a speedy and successful
submission.
- Include all bibliographic information in your article.
Properly and consistently reference using the Harvard system.
- Carefully copy-edit your text. We will not correct
poor spelling and bad grammar except by agreement with those who have
English as a second language.
- Use footnotes, not endnotes, if they are required.
- Once we have received your article it will be sent
to an appropriate specialist in the field for peer-review. When you
receive a copy of the peer-reviewer advice, please re-work and re-submit
your article as promptly as possible.
- We will keep you informed of the progress of your article
at each stage in the process. As The Journal is published twice
a year authors can normally expect a 6 month interval between submission
of a draft text and publication.
Editorial Policy
The Journal is interested in publishing
a broad and international range of articles that will appeal to everyone,
from academic researchers to government agencies and NGO's to interested
members of the public. Although we have no historical or geographical
restrictions, articles discussing contemporary issues are preferred. Interim
reports and articles discussing on-going projects are welcome, especially
for our Reflections
section. If you would like to suggest an item for review or if you would
like to offer your services as a reviewer, please contact
the Editors.
